October is a t shirt printing, screen printing, garment sourcing and embroidery supplier established in 1990. We source a wide range of clothing and accessories to fit the most demanding of specifications. Although we print and embroider for a variety of sectors, our speciality is fashion.
With this in mind we offer a full service including garment sourcing, graphic design input, range development, technical screen print and embroidery advice, label supply, re-labelling, bagging, swing ticketing and bulk distribution.
This isn't everything. That would just be too massive, but it is a cross section of all our favourite T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoods, polos, hats etc. It's what a pretentious bell end might call a curated edit. Feel free to call us with any questions, and let us know if we left anything out.
It all started 25 years ago. Paul finished a degree in obscure eastern religions, and was surprised to find he couldn't get a job. Not a problem, a friend had a sewing machine,
We wondered about including this one, and that makes us feel guilty sometimes - like we're picking the last kid left up against the wall for a kick about in the park. But it's a nice thing - twin needle topstitching gives it a quality look, it has 350 GSM's of organic and recycled poly fabric, that's just as nicely washed and sueded as anything else we've put on the team sheet. Combed yes, ring spun yes, with high end metal finishing on the eyelets and drawcord tips. And it also works well as a unisexual piece. So what's not to like? Just one question mark here, the fit. If you can't get past wanting your garments to be wider and heavier than a Samoan Prop Forward, then this isn't for you - but if you're not on that bandwaggon, if you're looking for a more cultured offering, if you're considering how your hood might layer under a jacket for a photoshoot, then look no further. We're trying to give options that answer different questions, and hoping that doesn't muddle your Brian.
Make a cup of tea, that's usually a good start, and then once you're ecstatically, (or even moderately) happy with your quote, we'll most likely want to get into a little detail, so if a chat is ok, an email to info@october.co.uk with a phone number and a convenient time for you is handy - (can also be done by email only, if you're the dark and silent type).
We will run through your garment choices with you, making sure they will all work well for your chosen print or embroidery method; look at garment sizing, perhaps the tried and tested 1/2/2/1 split across S/M/L/XL; talk about choice of inks, water based, solvent based, discharge, digital etc, and ensure you're aware of all the pros and cons and make the right chemical decisions. Print or embroidery colours will be agreed, with pantone references if you have them. We will check overall artwork sizes, any font sizes, line details, tonal dot issues, and consider artwork positions – is 8cm down from the neck agreeable for you Madam?
When we're all happy with all that, we will assemble all your stock, make your artwork films and screens, run an embroidery disk for approval if required, and then give the option of coming into the factory for a print day, (where we can play with ink colours, ink textures, and artwork positions), or, if you're a Moisture Farmer living on the planet Tatooine and the commute is a struggle, we can print or embroider your garment onto a sample, pop it on one of our top in house models, and email you a nice pic of exactly what you can expect to receive. Back neck woven labels and high definition badges we would post out to you before running the bulk. Essentially, checks and balances all the way, to keep you nice and safe.
